Aston Villa are considering another move for Brentford’s Said Benrahma in January.
Ex-Bees boss Dean Smith tried to take the Algeria winger to Villa Park in the summer but failed to agree a deal.
Villa could not meet Brentford’s £20m asking price – and that valuation has not changed since August.
Benrahma still has two and a half years remaining on the contract he signed when joining from Nice in 2018.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 Championship goals for Brentford, including two in his past three matches.

Benrhama signed a new 4 year contract last summer and he's one of the best players in the Championship. 20m is peanuts.
