Josh Clarke, Alan McCormack and Phillip Hofmann all saw some action as Brentford B beat Reading Under-23s 2-1 on Wednesday.
All three goals came in the first half, with Zain Westbrooke firing the Bees in front early on.
Reece Cole then doubled the lead by whipping a free-kick from wide on the left into the top corner.
Reading pulled a goal back shortly before the break but Brentford – who adopted the same 4-3-3 formation the first team used against Aston Villa on Tuesday – emerged victorious.
