Dundee United announce El Alagui deal

Dundee United have announced they have signed Brentford striker Farid El Alagui on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old Moroccan has failed to break into the first team after recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered just a month into his Bees career.

El Alagui made his name in the SPL with Falkirk before moving to Griffin Park in 2012, but has made just eight league starts, scoring four league goals.

Brentford hope to tie up the loan of young Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom in the next few days and recently extended the loan of Fulham striker Marcello Trotta.
