Tranmere 1 Brentford 1
Brentford snatched a point against the league leaders courtesy of Jonathan Douglas’ equaliser five minutes into injury time.
Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro’s fine individual goal early in the second half looked to have been enough to maintain Tranmere’s 100% start at Prenton Park.
It was a deserved breakthrough for Rovers, who were on top for much of the first half.
Akpro had headed wide from a James Wallace cross before firing past Bees keeper Simon Moore from an awkward angle.
But when the home side were unable to clear Clayton Donaldson’s long throw, Douglas pounced to score at the death.
