Harlee Dean has finalised his £2m move to Birmingham City from Brentford.
The Bees’ former skipper has signed a three-year deal with the Blues.
His future had been in doubt for some time as his contract at Griffin Park was due to expire next summer.
He refused to sign a new deal and as a result was told he would not be reappointed as captain this season.
The 26-year-old made 249 appearances in all competitions for the Bees.
Dean moved to Griffin Park from Southampton, initially on loan in 2011, before making the deal permanent.
He began his career at Dagenham, and played for several non-League clubs on loan, including Redbridge, Bishop’s Stortford, Thurrock and Grays Athletic.
