Charlton manager Chris Powell will hold talks with Bradley Wright-Phillips over the striker’s future at the end of the season.
Wright-Phillips joined Brentford on loan in February and has featured regularly, scoring once in 10 appearances.
Powell said: “His contract is up at the end of the season and there will be discussions between myself and him and his representatives.
“It’s down to Bradley and myself – he wanted to play and I couldn’t promise him that so I let him go out.
“I will always do that with players if they feel they can’t add to what we’re doing and they don’t want to be part of it.”
Powell added: “I went to watch Bradley the other week and he scored. He’s still my player, technically.
“I will always talk to my players in the right manner and if I feel a loan is right for them and it’s right for the football club, I’ll do it.”
