On-loan Cardiff City winger Kadeem Harris wants to stay at Brentford for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old joined the Bees in mid-October and has made a big impact, but his temporary deal expires on 5 January.
Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is keen to keep hold of Harris as well as fellow loanees Marcello Trotta from Fulham and Chelsea’s George Saville, who have all become important members of the first team.
Harris told West London Sport: “I’m interested in staying if the manager at Cardiff and Uwe Rosler can agree on it.
“I want to stay. It’s going really well and I’m really enjoying my time here. I’m building up my confidence and I feel like I’m getting better and better.
“I’m learning because I’m playing first-team football week-in, week-out, and the fact the team is winning is making it even better.”
Since Harris’s arrival, the Bees have overcome their rocky start to the season and won six consecutive matches in all competitions.
Harris added: “I enjoy the way the team plays. Everyone is on a high at the moment, we deserve the wins we’ve had and it’s helping team spirit. Hopefully we can carry it on.”
