Brentford’s new signing Thiago suffers knee injury

Brentford’s new signing Igor Thiago has suffered a knee injury.

The striker arrived in west London last month, having been signed from Club Bruge for a club-record fee of £30m.

He scored twice on his Bees debut, against AFC Wimbledon, but picked up a meniscus injury in that 5-2 win and is being assessed.

“More information will be released in due course,” Brentford said.
