Brentford’s El Alagui faces long spell out
Brentford have confirmed that Farid El Alagui faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with what appears to be a long-term knee injury.
The striker, 27, was stretchered off during Saturday’s home win against Crawley after colliding with visiting goalkeeper Paul Jones.
His condition is still being assessed, but initial tests have shown significant damage to the player’s left knee.
El Alagui has scored three goals for the Bees since joining them on a Bosman free transfer from Falkirk during the summer.
