Brentford back in for striker Ghoddos
Brentford are again discussing a move for Iran striker Saman Ghoddos.
The Bees are considering possible alternatives to Ivan Toney and Folarin Balogun.
Peterborough’s Toney has been a Brentford target for some time, while Arsenal are refusing to budge on their £8m asking price for youngster Balogun.
Ghoddos, 26, was lined up for a move to Griffin Park from Amiens last year but the deal collapsed.
Talks have now reopened with the French club, who were relegated from Ligue 1 last season.
It was a season in which Ghoddos made only seven appearances and scored once.
He was signed by Amiens after impressing at Swedish club FK Ostersunds under Graham Potter, who is now Brighton manager.
