Brentford lose Llera to Wednesday

Brentford have confirmed that Miguel Llera has been recalled by Blackpool and is set to join Sheffield Wednesday.

Spaniard Llera was due to stay on loan at Griffin Park until next month, but Blackpool had an option to recall him at 24 hours’ notice and have done so after agreeing a deal with the Owls.

The former Charlton defender’s exit potentially leaves Bees boss Uwe Rosler with limited options at centre-back, as Karleigh Osborne and on-loan Watford man Dale Bennett are both injured.

Llera joined Brentford in September and made 14 appearances during his time at the club.
