Brentford emphatically ended their wait for a first league win of the season.
Yoann Barbet put the Bees ahead in the first half, Nico Yennaris doubled the lead with a terrific strike midway through the second, and Ollie Watkins’ late goal sealed a resounding victory.
Dean Smith’s side went in front courtesy of Barbet’s free-kick seven minutes before the interval – the defender’s first goal of the season.
Bolton rarely threatened – although Gary Madine hit the post – and Yennaris’ 30-yarder made it 2-0 before Watkins sealed the win.
“I have never seen a drop in confidence from the players,” Smith declared.
“There is a belief about how we play. I told the players that as long as we show commitment and work ethic then we will be ok and that showed today.”
