Brentford confirm Judge’s two-year contract
Alan Judge has signed a new two-year contract at Brentford.
The 28-year-old midfielder’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season but the Bees were keen to keep him at the club.
Judge has been sidelined for almost a year after suffering a devastating double leg-break in April 2016.
His specialist will make a decision in the next two weeks on whether the Irishman can return to full contact training.
Bees boss Dean Smith told the club website: “He has been an integral member of the squad since he joined and has played a massive part in the recent success.
“He is close to a full recovery from the terrible injury he suffered and we will certainly reap the benefits when he returns to the standards he was setting in the Championship prior to the injury, which earned him his first full international cap and plaudits from managers and peers from within the Championship.”
