Brentford manager Mark Warburton is hoping Chris Long recovers from a knock in time for Tuesday’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
The on-loan Everton striker, 20, injured his knee in training last week and missed the draw at Derby on Saturday.
Warburton said: “He took a knock in literally the last minute of a small-sided game in training on Friday.
“He felt something just above his knee. Hopefully it’s nothing serious but we’ve got to look after him. He’s not our player, he’s an Everton player.
“We’ll always treat him the right way and hopefully he’ll be available for Tuesday.”
