Brentford manager Mark Warburton bemoaned his side’s “silly mistakes” after their defeat against Cardiff.
The Bees looked comfortable during the first half and led through Andre Gray before defensive errors by the hosts allowed Alex Revell and Federico Macheda to score.
“We’ve made two silly mistakes – indecision on our part has cost us,” Warburton said.
“We were cruising in the first half and very comfortable for our lead, but then against the run of play we’ve allowed them a way in.
“It’s then taken us a couple of minutes to get over that and then we’ve been indecisive with the ball over the top and it’s cost us again.
“That’s what happens at this level; you make mistakes and it costs you.”
Warburton was also quick to praise goalkeeper David Button, who looked to be at fault for the first goal.
He said: “I thought David was exceptional first half, his distribution was fantastic. He was dropping the ball into dangerous areas with both feet.
“He’s been a great player for us this year. Today won’t affect him.”
