Brentford boss Dean Smith bemoaned his team’s inability to take their chances against Ipswich.
The Bees were beaten 2-0 at Portman Road despite having plenty of possession.
Smith said: “The word is frustration at the moment. We had 22 chances to their six today. It was the same midweek against Bristol City.
“Possession-wise and chances created we’re very good. But I just felt after the second goal went in a few of the lads lost a little belief and we became a bit sloppy.”
And Brentford have injury concerns ahead of next week’s EFL Cup tie at QPR.
“We’ve got a few injuries at the moment,” said Smith.
“We lost Jota to a back injury which he has been carrying for two weeks. Rico Henry couldn’t train or travel and Ryan Woods is on compassionate leave.
“We also lost Lasse Vibe today with a heel injury not long after coming on. We’ll have to see how everyone is come Tuesday.”
