Brentford complete signing of Arsenal youngster Oyegoke

Brentford have completed the signing of Arsenal youngster Daniel Oyegoke for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will initially play for Brentford’s B team.

He rejected the offer of a new contract at Arsenal in order to make the move.


The versatile Oyegoke is primarily a right-back but can also operate in midfield.

Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane told the club website: “Daniel is a modern full-back who likes to get forward and he has the ability to create for the team.

“He’s a fantastic character and will be a very good addition to the group.”

Meanwhile, Brentford are to sign Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka from Danish side FC Midtylland, subject to a work permit.
