Frank: Speculation won’t bother Bees star Toney

Thomas Frank has insisted that Ivan Toney will not be affected by being linked with Premier League clubs.

Leeds United are the latest to be linked with the Brentford striker, who has scored 25 goals this season.


Recent reports have suggested that Leicester and West Ham are showing an interest in Toney amid speculation that he could leave if Brentford are not promoted.

But Bees boss Frank has no doubt that Toney, 24, will stay focused.

He said: “I think Ivan has a special mentality in terms of keeping the noise out and being focused.

“He embraces the opportunity to shine. I only see a focused player who wants to help the team and get better. I’m not worried at all.”
