Brentford manager Uwe Rosler hit out at a section fans who barracked his team during the much-needed victory against Chesterfield.
Some of the Griffin Park crowd made their frustration clear, particularly when the Bees appeared to be heading for a draw before Dale Bennett’s late header gave them their first home win in seven matches.
The result was a welcome boost for Rosler, but the usually composed German admitted: “It was a very good peformance in all departments – the one negative thing was a small fraction of our supporters.”
He added: “When they are singing a song about how **** you are, when you’re winning, it’s my responsibility as manager to raise that.
“I don’t think it’s acceptable. They’re hurting the players, the staff, directors and loyal supporters of this club.
“I ordered my players to go to the fans after the game and half of them didn’t want to. That is alarming.
“The frustration at home has grown and grown. We want to entertain, maybe we have not succeeded in the last six games – we’d be the first to admit that – but today my players deserve better than this.
“Our aim is to create a good atmosphere. We’re a unit and can only achieve things together. “
