Marcus Bean says he is prepared to go anywhere in search of first-team football – but admits a bad experience at Blackpool means he would prefer to stay in London.
The former QPR midfielder, 27, is a free agent after being released by Brentford and a number of clubs have expressed some interest in signing him.
Bean, who grew up in west London and recently bought a house in the area, endured an unhappy two-year spell in the north-west before moving to Griffin Park.
He told West London Sport: “I had some rough times when I was at Blackpool – it was tough – and I said to myself then ‘I don’t want to ever go back up north’.
“But, as you get older, you get wiser and you know that you’ve got to be prepared to go wherever a contract is as such.
“So I’m prepared to go anywhere, but obviously I’d prefer to stay down south. I’m a London boy. It’s where I feel most at home.”
