Bees youngsters thrashed by strong Birmingham City side
Brentford B were beaten 5-0 by a strong Birmingham City side, for whom Greg Stewart scored twice.
The young Bees were denied a penalty in the opening stages, while at the other end keeper Dominik Kurasik saved from Viv Solomon-Otabor, one of a number of first-team players in the Blues line-up.
Stewart put Birmingham ahead on 36 minutes when his low shot found its way through Kurasik, who couldn’t stop it going over the line.
Reece Brown doubled the lead just before the break as he ran from halfway and beat a couple of players before firing home.
Birmingham scored their third 10 minutes after half-time, Stewart curling home from 25 yards, and Solomon-Otabor added a fourth from Josh Dacres-Cogley’s cross.
Stewart hit the post from a free-kick, and then set up the fifth for Daniel Cleary.
