Bees youngsters draw with Leeds United

Ryan Woods was among four of last weekend’s Brentford first-team squad to play for the Under-21s in a 2-2 draw with Leeds on Tuesday.

The summer signing from Shrewsbury was joined in the side by Jermaine Udamaga, Marcos Tebar and Jack O’Connell, who were all on the bench for the win over Preston in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds didn’t include any senior players in their line-up but their youthful side went in front on 13 minutes thanks to Frank Mulhern’s solo effort.

Jan Holldack, who is yet to feature for the Bees’ first team, levelled in the second half and then scored his second 10 minutes from time to put Brentford in front.

But their lead did not last long as Mulhern raced away before clipping home the equaliser.
