Brentford have opened talks to sign Clinton Morrison on a permanent basis.
The former Crystal Palace striker is leaving Sheffield Wednesday on a Bosman free transfer this summer and has indicated that he would like to return to London.
Discussions have taken place with Morrison’s agent and a deal could be in place within the next couple of weeks.
Morrison, who turns 33 next week, has made a big impact since joining Brentford on loan in the wake of top scorer Gary Alexander’s move to Crawley.
