Brentford’s Tom Field has joined Cheltenham Town on loan until January.
The left-back, 21, played against the Robins in the Carabao Cup this week.
“Tom needs to go and get a run of games to help him progress his career,” boss Dean Smith told Brentford’s website.
“He has played well in the Carabao Cup games and now needs to push on by playing regular competitive football.
“We saw on Tuesday that Cheltenham will give him that opportunity and are a team that plays in a style to help his development.”
Meanwhile, the Bees have signed Swedish keeper Simon Andersson, 17, after agreeing a compensation deal with Halmstads Bollklub.
Andersson has agreed a three-year contract and will initially play for Brentford’s B team.
