Bees face replay after draw at Bradford
Bradford 1 Brentford 1
League Two Bradford hit back to force a replay after Clayton Donaldson had put Brentford ahead in the FA Cup second-round clash at Valley Parade.
Bradford-born striker Donaldson took advantage of a ricochet off City’s Curtis Good and fired home two minutes before half-time.
The hosts were much improved after the break and were denied an equaliser by Richard Lee’s save from Nahki Wells.
But when Lee was left exposed on 70 minutes, the Bantams drew level.
Brentford failed to deal with James Meredith’s cross and substitute James Hanson was on hand to score.
And Uwe Rosler’s men survived a late scare when Wells’ late effort hit the post.
Brentford: Lee; Logan, Dean, Craig, Bidwell; Saunders (Barron 71), Forshaw, Diagouraga, Forrester (Dallas 76); Hayes (German 82), Donaldson
Subs not used: Moore, Pierre, Redwood, Oyeleke.
