The stories in Tuesday’s newspapers involving the area’s clubs…
Brentford boss Dean Smith is a leading contender to take over as West Bromwich Albion manager, according to The Times.
The newspaper say Albion will wait until the summer to replace Alan Pardew, who left the Premier League’s bottom club on Sunday.
It is claimed that Smith and Leicester City assistant manager are the two frontrunners to take over at The Hawthorns.
Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes, Östersunds boss Graham Potter and former Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare are also being considered, The Times say.
Meanwhile, there continues to be speculation over the future of Antonio Conte.
Chelsea are widely tipped to replace the Italian and the Daily Express say four managers are being considered by the club.
Apparently, they are ex-Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, ex-Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri and Juventus’ Massimo Allegri.
The Daily Mirror declare that Conte is unhappy with Chelsea’s transfer policy and cannot wait to get out of Stamford Bridge.
The story is based on former Chelsea man Gianluca Vialli – a former team-mate of the Blues boss – saying on Italian television that Conte “can’t wait” to leave.
“The truth is, Chelsea would like a manager who is more of a club man,” Vialli added.
The Mirror also say Conte has already been contacted about the possibility of returning to the role of Italy boss, which he left to take over at Chelsea in 2016.
And The Sun say Allegri wants to manage in England is ready to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer.

I can't honestly see why a bloke who is doing so well at one Club would think of leaving to go to an uncertain future with another Club who are passing the first Club in a downward spiral?
I could understand it if we were talking Villa (he's a lifelong fan)...but, other than that, it'd be like a rabid Bee taking the reins at QPR...or vice-versa!
