Mark Warburton dedicated Brentford’s derby victory over Fulham to their supporters and insists his in-form side deserve their lofty position.
The Bees are fourth and moved to within a point of the Championship summit with two dramatic late goals to win 2-1 against their west London rivals.
Manager Warburton said: “It was important we won for the fans tonight and what a tremendous feeling it is when a late winner goes in like that.
“We deserved it tonight and we deserve to be where we are. They work hard but these players also have the quality and they have the self-belief.
“I thought we were very good first half but we fell behind and the crowd went silent from 50 through to 70 minutes – they tell you how you’re playing.
“What a response we made. These players deserve the credit because they’re starting to recognise what they can do.”
