Derby 0 Brentford 0
Brentford bounced back from Saturday’s defeat against Newcastle with a battling draw at the iPro Stadium.
Struggling Derby, in their second match under returning head coach Steve McClaren, threatened first through a powerful Thomas Ince volley, while Ikechi Anya also went close in the first half.
But the Bees were also posing problems, John Egan’s header forcing a fine save from home keeper Scott Carson and Romaine Sawyers heading narrowly wide.
Both sides had opportunities to take maximum points after the interval, with Ince and Johnny Russell both going close for the Rams.
At the other end Hogan forced a decent save and hit the side netting after rounding Carson.
But neither team could force a late winner as the chances dried up with the full-time whistle looming.
