Brentford have agreed a deal to sign Leicester left-back Callum Elder on loan.
The 21-year-old Australian has previously been on loan at Mansfield and Peterborough.
Leicester are keen for him to play at a higher level this season and have earmarked him for a loan move to the Championship.
Jake Bidwell’s recent departure from Griffin Park is likely to lead to more opportunities for Bees youngster Tom Field.
However, Brentford remain keen to bring in a left-back following the sale of their former captain to QPR.
