Sheffield Wednesday 4 Brentford 0
Yoann Barbet was sent off as Brentford were thrashed at Hillsborough.
Barbet was red-carded after just six minutes for bringing down Sheffield Wednesday forward Gary Hooper as they chased Tom Lees’ long ball.
First-half goals by Fernando Forestieri, Hooper and Kieran Lee put the Owls three up by half-time and substitute Lucas Joao completed the rout.
Forestieri struck on 12 minutes following Daniel Pudil’s cross, and Hooper’s volley put Wednesday in control.
Hooper was involved in the third goal, nodding Barry Bann’s cross into the path of Lee, who made no mistake.
Joao rifled in the fourth in the 89th minute after being set up by Jack Hunt.
