O’Meara to face Pryce at Wembley Arena
Steve O’Meara is set to fight Bradley Pryce at Wembley Arena on 16 March.
The pair will feature on the same show as George Groves’ rematch with Kenny Anderson, which tops the bill.
O’Meara won the southern area light-middleweight title with a first-round knockout of fellow West Londoner Ryan Toms in October and his last bout – a one-punch poleaxing of Nathan Weise – also ended in the opening round.
The 28-year-old, who was born in Shepherd’s Bush and lives in West Drayton, hopes to fight for a major title later this year.
Welshman Pryce, 30, is an ex-Commonwealth champion and has challenged for the British title.
He is a product of the same Newbridge gym as Joe Calzaghe, having been nurtured by the former super-middleweight champion’s father Enzo.
