AVB tips Warnock to bounce back
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has tipped Neil Warnock to bounce back from his sacking by QPR.
Warnock, who previously hinted he would retire after leaving Loftus Road, is considering his next move after being given the boot by majority shareholder Tony Fernandes following a run of bad results.
The two bosses disagreed after QPR’s controversial victory over the Blues in October, but Villas-Boas has backed Warnock to make his mark at another club.
He said: “It’s up to Tony Fernandes to decide what is best for the future of QPR and they decided to part company with the manager who brought them up to the Premier League.
“Managers are in the spotlight and under pressure to get results. Tony Fernandes obviously had a different perspective for QPR and unfortunately for Neil it comes to an end.
“But, because of the person and character Neil is, I think we will see him back in action soon.”
