Fulham defeat self-inflicted’ – Gray

Stuart Gray said Fulham only had themselves to blame after their 2-0 defeat at Derby.

The Whites, 18th in the Championship table, competed well before Tim Ream’s second-half own goal turned the tide against them.

“It’s not as if Derby were cutting us up. It was all self-inflicted by us giving the ball away,” said interim boss Gray.

“To concede the goal as we did was poor defending. It was the story of our life with a double deflection.

“We then had to chase the game and Derby are one of the best counter-attacking sides. We go again on Tuesday against Rotherham.”
