Ramsey convinced QPR’s new signings ‘will come good’
Chris Ramsey believes Daniel Tozser and Gabriele Angella will prove to be astute signings by QPR.
The duo were recently brought to Loftus Road, having been key players for Watford as they won promotion last season – Tozser while on loan with the Hornets from Parma.
Both players have looked unconvincing at times during their first two appearances for the R’s, which head coach Ramsey puts down to a lack of match fitness.
Ramsey said: “I think they’re obviously game-rusty because they haven’t been playing, which has showed in the games.
“But I think they’ll come good. I think they’ve got a lot to offer.”
Centre-back Angella is expected to keep his place at Hull on Saturday, while Ramsey is considering recalling Alejandro Faurlin at the expense of midfielder Tozser. Keeper Rob Green is available again after suspension.
Rangers, beaten 2-1 at Hull in February, when both clubs were in the Premier League, are looking to get back to winning ways after picking up just one point from two recent home matches.
“Hull have kept a lot of their players [since relegation] and will probably play similar to how they did last season,” Ramsey predicted.
“They made a slow start and we made a slow start too – we’ve made a good start, but ultimately we would like more points on the board at this stage.”
