Green apologises on Twitter after QPR defeat
Rob Green posted on Twitter after being sent off in QPR’s 2-1 home loss against Nottingham Forest, saying he was sorry for being the “catalyst” for the defeat.
Rangers were leading 1-0 when their goalkeeper conceded a penalty and was sent off for pulling down striker Chris O’Grady after failing to control a back-pass.
It was only the second time Green, 35, had been sent off in his long career.

Charlie Austin’s fifth goal of the season had put Rangers, who face Blackburn on Wednesday, on course for a fourth consecutive league win.
