Chelsea showed their unity – AVB

Andre Villas-Boas declared that Chelsea’s unity was highlighted by their dramatic 2-1 victory at Wolves.

The Blues players made a point of celebrating Ramires’ opening goal with their under-fire manager, whose team went on to win 2-1 courtesy of Frank Lampard’s late strike.

Villas-Boas steadfastly denied recent reports he had ordered his players to celebrate with him after scoring, and he insisted their reaction was spontaneous.

“It’s just part of them showing the unity of the team and what we have been doing,” he said.

“I think after the recent happenings in the home fixtures, where we lost points, it is normal for stories to come out – speculation about untrue things going on.

“I didn’t know the celebration was coming. If you like to be speculative, that’s your choice, but if you take that route, you’re not correct.”
