QPR consider signing striker Best
QPR are considering signing striker Leon Best.
The 28-year-old, a free agent after his Blackburn contract was cancelled by mutual consent earlier this summer, will train with the R’s ahead of a possible return to Loftus Road.
Best spent a month on loan with the club during the 2004-05 season, making five appearances.
He was then a Southampton player and went on to have spells at Coventry and Newcastle before joining Blackburn in 2012.
After spending the first half of last season on loan at Derby, where he made 15 substitute appearances in the Championship without scoring, he spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Brighton.
He made 13 appearances for the Seagulls, seven of them as a substitute – again without scoring.

Bloody hell. Leon Best has been around for years and years and years without ever getting his act together. I would rather get relegated again taking a chance on someone with half his ability but younger and hungrier.
