QPR to beat Cardiff, Fulham can see off Brighton – but Bristol City v Bees is too close to call

QPR entertain Cardiff City in front of the Sky cameras on Saturday evening and are 23/20 to win their first home game of the campaign.

Boss Chris Ramsey will have been delighted with the win at Yeovil in midweek after a disappointing result at Charlton on the opening day.

A late Craig Noone strike gave Cardiff a point at home to Fulham last weekend but Ramsey’s scout is unlikely to have suggested to him that the Welsh side are anything out of the ordinary.

This is a game the R’s should win – and I think they will.

Incidentally, they are out to 20/1 for the Championship after the Charlton reverse. They must make Loftus Road a fortress.

Fulham entertain Brighton earlier in the day and are 31/20 against a Seagulls side (19/10) who have won both their matches so far this term.

Albion are invariably tough to break down and in Lewis Dunk they have one of the best defenders in the division – but for how long?

This is another game where I expect to see a narrow home win and Matt Smith looks overpriced at 15/2 with BetVictor to grab the opener at the Cottage.

Having come from 2-0 down in stoppage time to rescue a point against a good Ipswich side last weekend, Brentford went down 4-0 to League Two Oxford United in the Capital One Cup.

The Bees are 13/8 to pick up all three points at Ashton Gate on Saturday with Bristol City 7/4 and the draw 5/2.

That one looks too close to call. I think Brentford will have to settle for another draw and recommend the 6/1 for a 1-1 draw .

Be lucky.
