Craig leaves Brentford and rejoins Lions
Brentford defender Tony Craig has left the club to rejoin Millwall on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old would have had increased competition at centre-back next season following the arrivals of Denmark international Andreas Bjelland and Frenchman Yoann Barbet.
Craig moved to the Bees in 2012 from Millwall and made 127 appearances for the club
A virtual ever-present in League One, he captained the side in the 2013 play-off final at Wembley but played in only half of the Championship games last season with James Tarkowski and Harlee Dean often the preferred pairing.
The Bees’ co-director of football Phil Giles said: “On behalf of everyone at Brentford, I’d like to thank Tony for everything he has done for Brentford over the last three years.
“He was a key part of the effort to establish Brentford as a Championship club.”
