Austin has reservations about moving to Newcastle, report claims
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR and Chelsea…
Charlie Austin has reservations about joining Newcastle, the Daily Mail claim.
QPR want £15m for striker Austin and have had no offers or approaches despite numerous reports of them receiving both strong interest and bids from several clubs, including the Magpies, Chelsea, Southampton, West Ham, Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
Newcastle were tipped to sign him, others were reported to be keen, and there is now speculation about why no move has yet materialised.
The Mail suggest Austin, 25, has misgivings about signing for Newcastle and has other options, while the Daily Telegraph say he is concerned he could be priced out of a move and will plead with QPR to lower the asking price.
West Ham have launched a bid to sign Mohamed Salah from Chelsea, according to the Daily Mirror.
There has been much speculation about Salah’s future since the end of last season, which he ended on loan at Fiorentina, who are keen to keep him.
Several other clubs have been linked with the Egyptian, including Tottenham, Inter Milan and Juventus.
And the Mirror reports that West Ham want to take Salah, 23, on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Following reports in the Italian media, the Daily Mail say Chelsea have discussed a £10.7m bid for Augsburg’s Ghana left-back Baba Rahman, who is said to be a target for Juventus.
Meanwhile, Oscar continues to be linked with a possible move to Juve.
The Mirror say he could offloaded by Chelsea in exchange for Paul Pogba, who has been consistently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
And the Daily Star say Atletico Madrid will snub a cash plus-player-offer from the Blues for Antoine Griezmann.
Chelsea, it is claimed, are willing to give Atletico either Salah or Filipe Luis for the forward, who is apparently rated at £43m.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Tuesday that Chelsea could offer Salah as part of a swap deal for Griezmann.

Austin can stay we can sell him in January probably get more for him.
With AirAsia news this morning the boss is going to neglect QPR to revitalise his core business. The joint chairman appointment has now some relevance.
So no investment since this time last year no strengthening of the team in January paying off/writing off 60 million debit all seems to suggest our leader is not interested any more

I’d be apprehensive too… but speaking as a Newcastle fan, he’d come here score a hatful of goals , be a loved hero and would be called up for the Euros for definite…
Once he came, i think other players would start to take notice and actually want to sign for us instead of thinking we are a bad move…
