Speculation over Austin and Cuadrado, Fulham linked with duo

A round-up of today’s transfer speculation involving Chelsea, QPR and Fulham…

Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Southampton are all being linked with £10m bids for QPR striker Charlie Austin.

The 25-year-old is currently with the England squad ahead of a friendly with the Republic of Ireland and a Euro 2016 qualifier in Slovenia – his first call-up a reward for scoring 18 goals in his first Premier League season.

But Austin has yet to commit his future to relegated Rangers, telling reporters he still wants to play in the top flight and will hold talks with boss Chris Ramsey and director of football Les Ferdinand after he returns from international duty.

The Daily Express treat that as a suggestion he is ready to quit Loftus Road and it believes Spurs, Newcastle, Villa and Saints will all be in for him. The Guardian claims Southampton are the favourites.

Reports in Italy claim Juan Cuadrado could be on his way out of Chelsea just four months after joining the club.

The Colombian winger has started only four Premier League games for the Blues since a £25m move from Fiorentina, and Roma are being linked with a loan deal for the 27-year-old.

Cuadrado’s international team-mate Radamel Falcao is once again being tipped to sign for Chelsea.

The Daily Star quotes the Monaco forward, who was on loan at Manchester United last season, as saying “I would like to continue in England, we’ll decide my next team in the coming weeks”, and it claims Chelsea is his preferred destination.

The Express, meanwhile, picks up on Italian media reports which suggest Juventus will sell Paul Pogba to Chelsea and get Oscar as part of the deal.

The Italian press are also reporting that Inter Milan want to sign Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic on loan, after the 20-year-old’s successful season at Spanish side Elche.

TalkSport claims left-back Filipe Luis remains ‘desperate’ to rejoin his former club Atletico Madrid, who have also apparently told Chelsea that striker Antoine Griezmann is not for sale, according to the Express.

Fulham, meanwhile, are being linked with moves for Millwall goalkeeper David Forde and Rotherham midfielder Ben Pringle.

The South London Press say Forde, available on a free transfer following the Lions’ relegation, has held talks with the Whites.

And the Sevenoaks Chronicle believes Fulham, Leeds, Bolton and Ipswich will be competition for Charlton in their attempts to sign Pringle.
