Fulham finish with a defeat at Norwich
Norwich City 4 Fulham 2
Fulham’s miserable season ended in defeat at Carrow Road.
Substitute Matt Smith scored for the Whites, who finished 17th in the Championship table.
Bradley Johnson netted twice for Norwich and also scored an own goal as the home side warmed up for the play-offs with a comprehensive win.
They took control with two goals in the space of as many minutes shortly before half time.
Gary Hooper pulled the ball back for Johnson to fire home the opener and Nathan Redmond then found the corner of the net with a curling effort from near the edge of the penalty area.
Shaun Hutchinson [pictured] missed a chance for Fulham and keeper Marcus Bettinelli produced a fine save to deny Hooper before the final nine minutes of the match produced four goals.
Graham Dorrans made it 3-0 with a cool finish after being found by Redmond, Smith volleyed in following a long ball forward, and Johnson’s 25-yarder restored Norwich’s three-goal advantage.
Johnson then inadvertently headed into his own net from Ross McCormack’s injury-time free-kick.
