Fulham boss keen to keep defender Burn
Kit Symons has insisted that Dan Burn is not for sale and that Fulham are not under pressure to part with their best players.
Defender Burn, 22, has impressed this season and was recently linked with a move to West Ham.
But Whites boss Symons said: “We’ve got an excellent group of young players and I want to take them forward with Fulham.
“I want to keep Dan. He’s a big part of how we play and he’s been excellent since he’s come in – he’s one of our leaders.
“We’re under no pressure to sell anyone. It’s never once been mentioned and I don’t think it will be.”
Symons is preparing for his first transfer window since taking over at Craven Cottage, and is hoping to strengthen his squad and offload some fringe players.
“We’re top-heavy in certain positions and a little bit light in others,” he explained.
“Ideally there would be one or two acquisitions and we’ve got people on the case, scouring everywhere.
“But there’s also a few boys out on loan who could come back in January and strengthen us in certain areas.”
