Expect an even game at Ipswich as Fulham begin life in the Championship
Fulham will travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich on Saturday for arguably the game of the weekend in the Championship.
The Whites are 17/10 to return from Suffolk with all three points. The Tractor Boys are also priced at 17/10 with the draw at 23/10 and Felix Magath will be looking for at least a point with his new look Fulham side.
Fulham are 9/1 for the Championship title, 10/3 to be promoted and even-money to finish the season in the top six and thus be guaranteed a minimum of a play-off spot.
Whilst Magath has lost a wealth of Premier League experience he still has the nucleus of a very good team and it will be interesting to see how many of last season’s successful youth side break through this season.
Moussa Dembele looked excellent against Everton earlier in the year and he has been backed from 125/1 to 66s to be the Championship’s top scorer.
Blackburn Rovers’ Jordan Rhodes (7/1) and the Whites’ Ross McCormack (8s) are market leaders the pair having finished first (McCormack) and second in the corresponding charts last term.
McCormack is 1/2 to be Fulham’s top scorer in the Championship with Konstantinos Mitroglu 10s, Hugo Rodallega, Adam Taggart and Dembele 12s.
We have a market as to who will finish top London club in the Championship and bet:
Fulham: Evens
Watford: 7/4
Brentford: 7/1
Charlton: 12/1
Millwall : 16/1
Brentford figure prominently in our Championship handicap, having been the best backed side in the opening salvos.
For those not familiar, Cardiff are the only side on scratch with every other club given a points start over the Bluebirds.
Fulham receive three points start, whilst Brentford have a 24-point handicap and have been backed from 18s to 14/1.
