Holtby has top-four quality – boss
Fulham head coach Rene Meulensteen believes he has bagged a top-four quality player in Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby.
The 23-year-old has joined the Whites on loan until the end of the season after falling out of favour with new Spurs manager Tim Sherwood.
And the German impressed his new boss despite Fulham crashing to a 3-0 home defeat to Southampton that saw them drop to the bottom of the Premier League.
Meulensteen said: “It was a pleasant surprise that a player of that quality wants to come and play for us, because I rate him so, so highly.
“He is such a fantastic footballer. In my opinion he’s a player for a top-four team – that’s what I think of the quality he possesses.”
The Dutchman added: “He was very bright on his debut. He kept going, picked up good positions and was positive in everything he tried to do.
“He’s a fantastic addition for us but he can’t do it all by himself.”

That’s Lewis, Gawd knows why TAS can’t see his value! ‘We want our Lewis back’, and in the meanwhile the best of luck to him and to Fulham.
