QPR man claims Blackburn ‘came for a point’ after frustrating draw
QPR midfielder Joey Barton claimed Blackburn “came for a point” following the goalless draw against Gary Bowyer’s side at Loftus Road.
Matt Phillips and Charlie Austin missed good chances for Rangers, who would have gone top of the Championship had they won.
“Frustrating today, Blackburn came for a point and got everyone behind the ball and got it. Fair play to them. Another clean sheet though,” Barton tweeted.
His R’s team-mate Gary O’Neil commented: “Bit unlucky today! Bit flat compared to our normal home games 1st half but worked them hard 2nd half just didnt quite convert #stilltied1st.”
O’Neil later asked: “How do you reckon our current squad would fare in this premier league? Survive?”
Tony Fernandes tweeted: “Good second half. Their keeper kept them in. Results going our way.”
The Rangers chairman added: “Averaging 2 points a game. Got to keep that going. Games I regret Doncaster and Millwall.”
