Chelsea boss is ready to recall Cole
Jose Mourinho is ready to restore Ashley Cole to the Chelsea side.
The England star has not featured for the Blues since a poor performance in the defeat at Newcastle last month.
Boss Mourinho has been playing Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back but plans to select Cole for either Wednesday’s game against Sunderland or this weekend’s clash with Stoke.
“I think Ashley Cole will start one of these two matches,” Mourinho revealed.
“When any player that, all his career, normally starts every game doesn’t, naturally they are not the happiest guy in the camp.
“But Ashley is always professional, always a team player, so he deserves to play.’”
Samuel Eto’o is in the squad for the Sunderland trip and could feature at the Stadium of Light after recovering from injury sooner than expected.
Oscar is out after picking up a knock during Sunday’s 3-1 win against Southampton, but David Luiz is still unavailable following a knee problem.
