Salah would rather join Blues or Man Utd than Liverpool or Spurs – report
Mohamed Salah would rather join Chelsea or Manchester United than Liverpool or Tottenham, The Sun say.
There has been speculation about Salah’s future after he scored Basel’s winner against Chelsea in the Champions League this week.
Spurs have been linked with him and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also reported to have shown an interest.
But Salah, 21, has apparently indicated that he would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford.
He is quoted as saying: “I’m very proud to have scored two goals against Chelsea
“I want to play for one of the best teams in the world. My favourites are Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror say Chelsea, along with Liverpool and United, are keen on Sevilla’s Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
And Ashley Cole’s Chelsea future is said to be in doubt as Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering a loan deal for Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao, according to the Daily Mail.
It is suggested that a loan signing would leave Chelsea with time to compete for longer-term targets such as Southampton’s Luke Shaw, 18, and Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno, 21.
