Rangers sign Croatia star Kranjcar on loan
QPR have signed playmaker Niko Kranjcar on a season-long loan from Dynamo Kiev.
The Croatia international, 29, played under Rangers boss Harry Redknapp at both Tottenham and Portsmouth.
Kranjcar spent three years at Pompey, who signed him from Hajduk Split in the summer of 2006.
He then scored nine goals in 49 Premier League appearances for Spurs before leaving for Kiev last year.
The deal to bring him back to England was completed shortly before the transfer window closed and means all three of Redknapp’s deadline-day signings played under him at Tottenham.
Earlier in the day Rangers brought in left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto and midfield prospect Tom Carroll from the north London club, also on season-long loans.
Meanwhile, QPR refused to sanction a return to Crystal Palace for Andy Johnson as they were unable to bring in another striker before the deadline.
