Blues signing reveals his preferred position
Chelsea new boy Andre Schurrle says he believes his best position is as a left winger.
The Germany international has joined the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen, where mostly operated on the flank, but he has also spent part of his career as a striker.
“In attack I can play in every position,” Schurrle told Chelsea’s website.
“But I think wide on the left is my best position because I can cut inside and score goals with my right foot, which I hope to be able to do here. But I am confident playing anywhere offensively.”
The 22-year-old, who has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, will face stiff competition for a first-team place at his new club.
With the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Victor Moses to choose from, boss Jose Mourinho does not lack attacking options.
“Of course, they are all great players – very young with lots of quality,” said Schurrle.
“It was my dream to train every day with such talented players so I’m very much looking forward to it.”
He added: “For this club, winning titles is always the main objective. We have a great young team with so much quality.
“We are capable of doing well in the Premier League, Champions League and the cup competitions as well, and I hope to play a big part.”

tihis will also boost the moral of the team, but to my advice to mourinho he should not try to dispose any of player because they are all team combination
